#SunnahFriday - Going to the Masjid

dua-masjid

1. Go Early The Prophet Muhammed (SAW) said:

"If mankind knew what (reward) was in the call (Athan) and in the first row and found no other way to get that (reward) except by drawing lots, then they would have drawn lots.

....and if they knew what (reward) was in praying dhuhr in the earliest time (tahjeer) they would have raced for it...

And if they knew the reward of Isha and Fajr prayer in congregation, they would come to offer them even if they had to crawl." - Buhkari

2. Supplicate when going to the Masjid

“O Allah, place light in my heart, and on my tongue light, and in my ears light, and in my sight light, and above me light, and below me light, and to my right light, and to my left light, and before me light and behind me light. Place in my soul light. Magnify for me light, and amplify for me light. Make for me light and make me a light. O Allah, grant me light, and place light in my nerves, and in my body light and in my blood light, and in my hair light, and in my skin light. [O Allah, make for me a light in my grave... and a light in my bones.] [Increase me in light, increase me in light, increase me in light.] [Grant me light upon light.].” - Muslim

3. Walk with Sakinah and Waqaar

The Messenger of Allah said: "When you hear the Iqaamah, then walk to the prayer with Sakinah and Waqaar." - Bukhari

5. Supplicate when Entering and Leaving the Masjid
