Today is and will always be a special day for me; and it reminds me of exactly what the topic of this post reminds you of. The dunya is a trial for all of humanity. Although there is so much to enjoy in this world, there is also strict warnings from our Rabb about becoming attached to them and forgetting out purpose here.
We all need to answer the call of nature. Its one of the basic acts of life. And until we In Sha Allah get to Jannah where we wont need to answer this call, we have to spend a fair amount of time in this dunya in or around one. There are a few etiquettes we as muslims must always try to observe.
"And who is more astray than one who invokes besides Allah, such as will not answer him till the Day of Resurrection, and who are unaware of their invocations to them? And when mankind are gathered (on the Day of Judgement), they (false deities) will become enemies for them and will deny their worshipping." - Q46:5-6
I spent too many years trying to figure out what I was supposed to do with my life, and if there was someone I was supposed to do it with. After wandering for many years, I returned to my hometown - where I found my wife. And ever since then, my life has been complete.
